Caseload problems plague speech-language pathologists across the country. There are definitely times when it is critical to network with colleagues for advocacy efforts at state and federal levels. There are also times when local level considerations should also be evaluated and utilized.
It is highly likely that many speech-language pathologists are managing their caseloads using many of these strategies. However, sometimes incorporating even one new idea can make a high difference in time available to manage the overall caseload.
These caseload management strategies are a compilation of ideas generated through meetings with speech-language pathologists in numerous schools and through discussions focusing on caseload management strategies at state conventions.
