As part of a United States Department of Education’s Project of National Significance awarded to the University of Cincinnati and Miami University of Ohio, a national Web site has been created to support speech-language pathologists in carrying out the mandates of IDEA ’97 on the topics of performance assessment, curriculum-based intervention, and collaborative IEP planning. The Web site offers professionals opportunities to view multimedia presentations by experts in the field that provide current and up-to-date information on changes and innovations in school practices, while establishing preferred practice templates as guidelines for improving school services. Each multimedia presentation includes printable handouts and other related materials to support the content of the presentation. This project has been designed as a virtual training and research source; online ASHA CEUs are available for all presentations, at no charge, until September 2004, the terminus of the grant.
