As the new Special Interest Group (SIG) 16 coordinator, I want to say a big “thank you” to our past coordinator, Chris Freiberg. As everyone knows, it is difficult to follow in the footsteps of someone who provides strong leadership and friendship and moves an organization forward. Chris is such a person and it is with admiration and thanks that we continue as the great SIG that we are. Thank you, Chris, for your leadership and friendship over the past 7 years. We do look forward to your continued participation in SIG 16 and Government Relations and Public Policy (GRPP) work with ASHA.
