Happy New Year and welcome to 2015. I hope everyone enjoyed his or her well-deserved break. It was a busy fall and now we can look forward to the rest of the year with a fresh start and renewed energy. I am sure I am not the only one in this situation but as the new semester begins, I find myself reviewing and revising class/behavioral expectations that were working only weeks ago. Fortunately, this issue of Perspectives explores behavioral management and strategies and offers suggestions on dealing with challenging situations. Sometimes, it is a new idea or the reminder of a previously learned strategy that gives us the something extra we need to feel effective with students. Thank you to our contributing authors for sharing their expertise and insights with us.
